الأميرة بسمة بنت طلال تكتب : يومُ مليئٌ بالفرح والمحبة والاعتزاز بتكريمي المباشر من قبل جلالة الملك

في هذا المرحلة العصيبة يملؤنا الحزن والألم ونحن نشاهد يوماً بعد يوم، ما يتعرض له أهلنا إن كان في غزة أو في فلسطين المحتلة من قتل وفقدان وتدمير وتعذيب همجي، بما فيه حرمانهم من الأكل والمأوى والعلاج، وهم بين الحياة والموت.

في هذه الظروف التي يصعب وصفها، لا بد أن نسأل أنفسنا مالذي يجعلنا قادرين نحن كبشر أن نجمع بين الألم والفرح على حد سواء؟ الإجابة نجدها في حمد الله على هذه النعمة التي تزيدنا إيمانًا وصبرًا وأملًا، وتجعلنا قادرين على التحمل والاستمرار.  

أما بالنسبة لي فكان هذا اليوم مليئاً بالفرح والمحبة والاعتزاز بتكريمي المباشر من قبل جلالة الملك عبدالله الثاني ابن الحسين بميدالية اليوبيل الفضي. فلقد أثارت هذه المناسبة لدي مشاعر خاصة من جهة، وما أحمله في داخلي من الشعور بشرف الانضمام إلى الأسرة الاردنية الكبيرة من جهة أخرى.

أما الذي أشعر به شخصيًا من محبة ووفاء واحترام، وحرصي على كل ما يخص عميد أسرتي الهاشمية، وابن أخي الحسين العظيم رحمة الله عليه، أحتفظ به لنفسي أولاً واخيراً.

وعلى صعيد الوطن، ما يضاف إلى ذلك هو فخري وتثميني العالي لما يقوم به رب أسرتنا الأردنية من أجل قيادة الأردن إلى بر الأمان، مهما واجه من تحديات ومخاطر وصعاب. 

سيدي، يمثل يوبيلكم الفضي محطة مشرقة في مشوار الصمود والبناء والوفاء، وضمن هذا المشوار أضرع إلى الله أن يأخذ بيدي في ما أسعى اليه لخدمة أهل بلدنا الغالي برعايتكم، وبما أستطيع ان أبذله من جهد مخلص.

كما أدعو الله العلي القدير أن يحيطكم برعايته وحمايته ورضوانه وأن يوفق مساعيكم وتفانيكم وعزيمتكم على جعل أردننا آمنًا مزدهرًا ومستقرًا على الدوام وتحقيق الرفعة والرفاه لشعبه الوفي.

Day after day, as we witness the suffering of our brethren, whether in Gaza or in occupied Palestine, as they face destruction and deprivation from food, shelter and medical treatment, leaving them suspended between life and death, we ask ourselves what enables us as human beings to experience both pain and joy in equal measure. The answer I believe is that this is a blessing from Allah, that strengthens our faith and hope, enabling us to endure and to carry on.        

For me however, today was one of joy and pride to receive in person from His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Silver Jubilee Medal. With a profound feeling of love and respect on the one hand and proudly cherishing being part of the wider Jordanian family on the on the other, I was deeply touched to be given this honour, not only by the head of my Hashemite heritage, but also as the son of King Hussein my late and dearly beloved brother, may he rest in peace.

Your Majesty, Following your steadfast efforts, together with the example of your courage and commitment to keeping Jordan from harm regardless of the difficulties and challenges that may emerge, makes one very proud. Hence, your Silver Jubilee comes as another milestone in the continuity of our country, one which deserves both appreciation and support. With the help of the Almighty, I look forward to continuing in any and every way to serve our country as you lead it towards a promising future. To this end, I ask the Almighty to keep you ever in His tender care, and with His blessings to enable you to fulfill the lifelong mission to which you have dedicated yourself, to forge a path of peace, stability and opportunity for your Jordanian family.
